Frederick John BARNECUT

722. Frederick John BARNECUT, son of John BARNECUT and Catherine MEECH, was born on 7 June 1894 (date from school Admission Record and Draft Record) in Plymouth, Devon.

Frederick J aged 6 appeared in the census on 31 March 1901 at 4 Britannia Terrace, Plymouth. He was living with his parents John [33] an Agricultural Smith and Catherine [31]. Living with them his siblings Reginald [5], Katie [3] and grandfather John Meech [56] a House Carpenter.

Frederick along with his brother Reginald were admitted to the Sutton High/Sutton Secondary/Regent Street/Keppel Place/Mount Street Schools on 7 June 1907. At this time the family were living at 18 Wilton Street, Stoke (most likely Stoke Demeral), Plymouth.

Frederick John emigrated to Canada, possibly during 1910, but as yet have found nothing to support this.

Frederick John a Student whose apparent age was 23 years 11 months was Drafted under the Military Service Act, 1917 on 19 April 1918. He was subsequently discharged on 4 October 1918. At the time of the draft he was living with his father John at 1618 – 4th Avenue, W. Calgary, Alberta.

According to the Canada Voters List during 1958 and 1963 Frederick John a Machinist was living at 1102 Seventh Street, S.W., Calgary South, Alberta.

It is widely reported in family trees on that Frederick John died on 5 December 1989 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. However as yet I have not found any records to confirm this.
