During the census on 29 & 30 June 1900 George Dewey aged 1, was living with his parents Richard [37] a Blacksmith and Fanny [37] in Fulton, King, Washington, USA. Living them was his siblings Edna M [15], William S [13], Gertrude [9], James P [9], Fanny P [8], Genevieve H [7] all of whom were at School, Richard H [3], Ruth I [2] and Leland J [6 months].

During the census on 15 April 1910 George D aged 11 a Newsboy was living with his parents Richard J aged 48 whose occupation was a Janitor and Fannie aged 47 at 4106 24th Avenue S W in Seattle, King County, Washington, USA. Living with them was his siblings Edna [26] a Dressmaker, William E [26] a Carpenter, Gertrude E [21] a Saleswoman, James P [21] a Hooks up at Meat Works, Fanny a Telephone Operator [19], Genevieve [16], Richard O [13] a Newsboy, Harriet R [12], Lelland J [9] a Newsboy, Sellice L [8], Evelyn M [7], Lois J [4] and Edward R [1 month].

George Dewey married Clare Imogene WARREN on 9 June 1924 at St Annes Rectory, Seattle. The marriage was witnessed by Herbert Price and Elizabeth Ryan. The ceremony was performed by John McGrath, Catholic Priest.

Clare Imogene WARREN, daughter of Phillip WARREN and Elizabeth Mc NALLY was born in 1900 in Minnesota.

George D aged 31 a Salesman at an Oil Station and Imogene C [30] appeared in the United States census on 1 April 1930 at 2761/7488 38th Avenue S. W., Seattle. Living with them was their son. (Census Place: Seattle, King, Washington; Page: 16A; Enumeration District: 0413)

Imogene died on 7 February 1932 in Seattle aged 32.

Clare Imogene WARREN and George Dewey BARNECUT had at least three children.

George D married Catherine L PURVES on 31 August 1939 at Skagit, King County when he was 37 and she was 37. The marriage was witnessed by HF Price and Mary Charlebois. The ceremony was performed by Wm. G Long, Supreme Court Judge.

Catherine L PURVES nee LINDSAY, the daughter of Sherwood C LINDSAY and Lillian O’TYSON, was born on 3 December 1901 in Seattle, King, Washington, USA.

George D aged 41 a Manager and Cathryn [38] appeared in the United States census on 1 April 1940 at 2761 38th Avenue S W, Seattle aged 41. Living with them was Cathryn’s child from her previous marriage and George’s children from his previous marriage. George died on 6 June 1980 in Seattle. He was buried in 1980 in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Seattle, King County, Washington.

Funeral services for George D. Barnecut, Sr., 81, retired owner-operated of Barencut's Admiral Way Super Service will be tomorrow at West Side United Presbyterian. He died Wednesday. Mr. Barnecut operated the station from 1923 to 1964, when he retired. The station is now run by a son. Mr. Barnecut was a member of the American Legion, Masons, Shrine and Lions and Monogram Clubs. He was active in baseball, bowling and lawn bowling. Survivors include his wife Catherine, two other sons, a stepdaughter, a stepson, three sisters Mrs. Ruth Smith, Kent, Mrs. Evelyn Erickson, Lacey, Thurston County, and Mrs. Edna Coulter, Seattle.
