Charles Lobb

Was most probably born in 1825. Charles was baptised at St Pinnock, Liskeard, Cornwall on 7th January 1826. At the time of his baptism the family were living at Parsonage and his father was a Labourer.

On 6th June 1841 Charles [15] was in the household of Robert Rowe and his family at Herods Foot, St Pinnock, Liskeard, Cornwall.

During the census of 1851 on 30th March Charles [24] a Tin Miner was in the household of his uncle John Warne [48] a Blacksmeeth Employing 1 man and his family at Mount, Warleggan, Bodmin, Cornwall.

Charles married an Elizabeth ROWE on 7th October 1854 at Lanlivery Rural.

Elizabeth ROWE - was baptised on 6th May 1832 in Lanlivery.

Elizabeth [8] was living at Small Bodwen, Lanlivery, Bodmin with her parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters on 6th June 1841 during the census.

On 7th April 1861 Charles [35] a Miner and Elizabeth [28] were living at Redmoor, Lanlivery, Bodmin. With them at this time were their children Mary Elizabeth [5], William Henry [4] and Charles [7 months].

During the 1871 census Charles [43], Elizabeth [38] and children Charles [10] and Richard [0] were living at Victoria Place, Lostwithiel, Bodmin. Also in the household at this time was a Mary Louise Wellcock [0] whose relationship is listed as Child Nurse.

In the census of 1881 on 3rd April Charles [54] a General Servant (Ag) and Elizabeth [47] a General Servant Wife were living with their children Charley [20] a Coach Builder and Richard [10] at Summerslane, Lanlivery, Bodmin. Also in the househild at this time were lodgers Polly Willcox [13] and John Crossman [21] a Blacksmith.
