390. Charles FORSYTHE, son of John FORSYTHE and Mary Ann BARNECUT, was born on 18 July 1888 in Ontario.

Charles Bruce enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force on 27 November 1915. (Note: on the first page of the Attestation Papers the name is given as Charles Bruce but, on the second page the name is given as Charles William and Charles Bruce).

Charles William married Pearl Vivian ARMSTRONG on 12 March 1919 in Peterborough, Ontario. The marriage was witnessed by Margaret Smith and Elizabeth Higgins.

Pearl Vivian ARMSTRONG, the daughter of Robert ARMSTRONG and Ida SANDY was born on 13 July 1900 in the Rural Municipality of Russell, Manitoba, Canada.

During the census of Canada in 1921 Charles aged 32 who was a Laborer and Pearl [20] werel living in Bridgenorth, Smith, Peterborough West, Ontario. Living with them was their son Rex [1].
