Frederick Gover

Was probably born in 1824. He was baptised on 16th October 1824 in the parish church of Bedhampton - St Thomas.

In the census on the 31st March 1851 his occupation was given as FOOTMAN and he was living in London Street, Hampton, Middlesex.

In the census on 7th April 1861 his occupation was given as SERVANT and he was a lodger at 27 Upper Hoorn Street, St Marys, Reading .

It would appear that Frederick married a Harriet Louisa Moore during the June quarter of 1877 in the Christchurch registration district.

Harriet Louisa Moore - was born in Middlesex about 1838.

In the census of 1881 Frederick [50] a Lodging House Keeper was living with his wife Harriet L [43] and 2 lodgers Jean Hutchinson and Robert T Hawkins at Fairstead Villa, 1 Littledown Road, Holdenhurst, Christchuch, Hampshire.

During the census of 1901 Frederick [77] now a widower was living at Church Cottage, 1 Edison Road, Hornsey, Edmonton, Middlesex. His occupation was given as Bellringer.

In the census of 1911 Frederick [87] an Old Age Pensioner was living in the household of Charles Privett [78] a Naval Pensioner at North Street, Bedhampton. His relationship to Charles is given as brother. Also in the household was Charle's wife Izeth [75], son Cyril [16], daughter Stener [46] and granddaughter Lily Bull [11].

Frederick formerly a Butler (domestic) died at the age of 88 in North Street, Bedhampton. Cause of death was Cholecystitis.
