Albert Frederick Gover

Was born on 1st August 1893 at 74 Seymour Street, Buckland, Portsea Island. His mother registered the birth, his fathers Rank or Profession was Grocers Porter and J Arnold was the Registrar.

He was living with his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and an aunt on the night of the 1901 census at 34 Jacobs Street, Portsmouth.

During the census of 1911 Albert [18] a Brickmakers Labourer was living with his parents Edward [45] and Annie [40] and siblings Edward [20], George [13], Blanch [10], May [7], William [5] and Henry [2] at 34 Jacobs Street, Landport, Portsmouth.

On the 11th July 1916 Albert [22 years 11 months] was discharged from the 16th B/A of the Hampshire Regiment as he was no longer considered physically fit for war service. The discharge took place in Exeter and his intended place of residence was 34 Jacob Street, Portsmouth.

Albert married an Emmeline Elizabeth Day during the 2nd quarter of 1918 in the Portsmouth registration district.

Emmeline Elizabeth Day - was born in Portsmouth on 4th November 1899.

On the 29th September 1939, Albert [46] a Brickworks General Labourer and Emmeline [38] whose occupation was Unpaid Domestic Duties were living at 110 Brockhurst Road, Gosport. There were also 6 others in the household but their records are officially closed.

Albert died during the 2nd quarter of 1951 in the Portsmouth registration district.

Emmeline married a Jesse BH Winder during the 4th quarter of 1959 within the Portsmouth registration district.

Jesse BH WINDER - was born in the Brighton area on 12th August 1902. He was previously married to an Elizabeth S Stuart.

Jesse died during the 2nd quarter of 1978 in the Hove registration district.

Emmeline died during the 1st quarter of 1986 in the Portsmouth registration district.
