Elizabeth Ellen Gover

Was born in the 3rd quarter of 1876.

On the 3rd April 1881 her occupation was given as SCHOLAR and she was living with her parents and 2 sisters at 8 Arnaud Street, Portsea.

In the census on 5th April 1891 Elizabeth [14] was living at 2 Croft Road, Portsea with her parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Elizabeth married a Frederick Faro during the 4th quarter of 1896 in the Portsea Island registration district (2B, 1137).

Frederick Faro - was born during the 2nd quarter of 1875 within the Portsea Island registration district.

Elizabeth died on 22nd August 1899 in the Portsea Island registration district (2B, 337).

In Loving memory of Elizabeth Ellen Faro, dearly beloved wife of Fredrick Faro, who died August 22nd 1899. Though lost to sight in memory dear.

From the Portsmouth Evening News on the 22nd, 23rd, and 25th August 1902 In Memoriam section:

In Loving memory of Elizabeth Ellen Faro, dearly beloved wife of Fredrick Faro, who died August 22nd 1899, aged 23 years.  A similar message also appeared in the Evening News on 22nd, 23rd and 26th August 1901.

Frederick married a Catherine Henderson during the 2nd quarter of 1905 within the Portsmouth registration district.

In the census of 1911 Frederick [35] a Cellarman was living with his wife Catherine [29] and children Elizabeth Ellen [14], Gladys C [4], Frederick [3] and Kate Amelia [1] at 35 Durham Street, Southsea.
