Henry White Buckle

Was born on 10th October 1865 and was baptised on 30th May 1886 in Christ Church, Camberwell in the County of Surrey. At the time of his baptism the family were living at 64 Hampton Street, Southsea, Portsea Island, Hampshire and his father was a Beer Retailer.

Henry White married an Alice Dora HAZEL on 6th August 1910 at St Simons Church in the Parish of Portsea in the County of Portsmouth. G Hazel, John Major, AA HACK and Celia Hazel were the witnesses to the marriage.

Alice Dora HAZEL - was born on 20th February 1889. She was baptised on 21st April 1889 in St Simons Church, Southsea, Portsea in the County of Southampton.

Leading Seaman Henry White Buckle was Killed in Action at the Battle of Coronel on 1st November 1914 on HMS "Good Hope".

On 29th September 1939 Alice D - Unpaid Domestic Duties -  was living with her son William H - Furniture Salesman - and sister Emily - Paid Domestic - at 27 Highland Road, Portsmouth C.B., Hampshire.

Alice Dora died on August 6th 1910.
