Charles Robert CHIDGEY - was born during 1888 at Elson, Gosport.

In the 1901 census on 31st March Charles [13] was living with his parents William [54] a Labourer (Contractors) and Clara [50] at 12 Melville Road, Alverstoke, Hampshire.

During the census of 1911 on 2nd April Charles [23] a Labourer Private Government RNO Dept was living with his mother Clara 61] now a widow and brother Herbert [34] a Seaman Royal Navy at 27 Melville Road, Gosport, Alverstoke, Hampshire.

Charles Robert and Ethel were in the 1920 Electoral Register for the Polling District of Gosport Newtown in the Parish of Alverstoke at 21 Bevis Road.

Ethel died during 1934 aged 43 years.
