Benjamin Marshalsay

Was born about 1782 possibly in the Weymouth area of Dorset.

Benjamin married a Catherine Theddam TALBOT during 1816 in Wyke Regis, Dorset.

During the census of 1841 on 6th June Benn [55] and Catherine [50] were living with their children Grace [20], Benjamin [15], Sarah [15], William [13], Samuel [10] and Mary [7] and Catherines mother Sarah Talbot [70] in Horsford Street MB and PB, Wyke Regis, Weymouth, Dorset.

Catherine Theddam TALBOT was born about 1790 and was baptised on 17 September 1790 in Wyke Regis, Weymouth, Dorset.

Benjamin a Sailor aged 70 years died of Age, Anasarca 3 weeks in Hope Square, Weymouth, in the District of Weymouth in the County of Dorset on 13th July 1852. The Informant was Hannah Loyal and William Richards was the Registrar.

In the 1861 census on 7th April Catherine [70] was living with her daughter Mary Ann [24] a Dressmaker in Hope Street South, Weymouth, Dorset.

On 2nd April 1871 during the census Catherine [80] was living with her children Sarah [46] an Upholstress and William [42] a Mariner in Hope Street, South, Weymouth, Dorset.

Catherine aged 81 years Widow of Benjamin Marshallsay a Rope Maker died of Asthma and Senectus - years on 20th October 1871 in Hope Street South, Weymouth, in the District of Weymouth in the County of Dorset. The Informant was Ann Calton.
