Frank Forbes Passells

Was born on 3rd October 1885 in Portsea.

In the census of 1891 Frank F [6] and his parents William [46] a LICENSED VICTUALLER and Emily A [44] were living at the Gloucester House, Portsmouth along with his siblings Emily Kate [21] and Charles J [15] both REFRESHMENT ROOM ASSISTANTS, George W [13] Arthur G [11], Bessie F [7] and Lilian G [7]. Also living with the family was Williams sister in law Elizabeth H Billies [42] a REFRESHMENT ROOM ASSISTANT.

During the census of 1901 Frank [16] and his father William [53] a widower whose occupation was given as LICENSED VICTUALLER was living at 17 High Street, Portsmouth with Williams daughters Ellen (Helen?) Beer [32], Bessie [19] and Lillian [17] and sons George [23] a TELEGRAPHIST and Arthur [21] an ACCOUNTANTS CLERK. Also in the household were Williams nephew James Beer [10] and nieces Daisy [8] and Emily [6].

In the 1911 census Frank [26] Assisting in Business and his father William [67] a Hotel Manager was living at the Gloucester Hotel, St George Road, Portsmouth. With them at this time was Williams daughters Helen Beere [42], Bessie [29] and Lilian [27], granddaughter Helen Beere [18] all Assisting in Business, grandaughter Emily Beere [16] and a boarder Grattan Hardy [49] Private Means.

Frank married an Ethel Maud Jelks during the 1st quarter of 1913 in the Portsmouth registration district.

Ethel Maud JELKS - was born during the 2nd quarter of 1877 in the Portsea Island registration district.

In 1914 Frank was in the Command Depot of the Hampshire Regiment.

Frank was medically discharged on 1st May 1917 diagnosed with Myalgia.

Frank died during the 1st quarter of 1973 in the Petersfield registration district at the age of 88.
