George Lucas Prynn

Was born on 28th January 1858 and was baptised in Tywardreath on the 28th March 1858.

In the 1861 census George [3] is living with his parents and six siblings in Wood Lane, Tywardreath.

In the 1871 census George [12] is still living in Wood Lane, this time with his parents, his brother Charles and four cousins, his occupation is given as Servant.

In the 1881 census George [22] is now living in North Street, Tywardreath with his widowed father, sister Almyra and niece Mary E Williams. Georges occupation is given as Sailor.

George married Elizabeth Pope (nee Pooley) in the Stoke Dameral registration district in 1886.

Elizabeth POOLEY - was born about 1858 in Millbrook, Devon. She married Frederick POPE in the Plymouth registration district in the December quarter of 1876, she later married George Lucas Prynn - see above.

1881 Census: Elizabeth [23] and Frederick (30) a MERCHANT SEAMAN was living with their son William F POPE (4) at Cambridge Lane E17, Plymouth St.Andrew, Devon

In the census of 1891 George [33], his wife Elizabeth A [31], daughter Mina [2] are visitors at the North Street home of his niece Mary E Barnecutt, also in residence was Marys son William and daughter Myra C and mother Almyra Williams. Georges occupation was given as Retired Mariner.

Sometime after the 1891 census Goerge travelled to the USA and settled in Michigan.

In the 1910 US Census: George [50] a COPPER MINER was living with wife Elizabeth [47], daughter Mina [21] and son George Jr. [16] in Franklin TWP, Houghton Co. Michigan, USA.

In the US Census of 1920: George [62] a MINER in a COPPER MINE was living with wife Elizabeth Ann [59], their daughter Mina [31], her husband William J Clemo [37] and their son George Jr. [25] at Globe Precinct, Gila County, AZ, USA.

In the 1930 US Census: George [72] a MINER was living with wife Elizabeth Ann [69], their daughter Mina [42], her husband William J Clemo [48] and their son George Jr. [36] and his wife Hazel [32] at Globe City, Gila County, AZ, USA.

George died on 20th February 1949 in Globe City, Arizona, USA, and was buried in the Globe Cemetery.

Elizabeth died in 1950 in Gila County, Arizona, USA, and was buried in the Globe Cemetery.
