George TOOKER

36. George TOOKER, son of John TOOKER and Elizabeth BARNACOTT, was born in 1823 in Menheniot.

George appeared in the census on 6 June 1841 aged 18. He was living with his parents John [60] a Farmer and Elizabeth [62] Trawten, St Neot, Liskeard, Cornwall, England. Living with them was his siblings Richard [23], Mary [20] and William [21]. There was also a Nicholas Pollard [10] in the household.

George appeared in the census on 30 March 1851 aged 26 and he was Employed on Farm. He was living with his parents John aged 75 a Farmer of 70 acres and Elizabeth [72] at Fawten, St Neot. Living with them his siblings Richard [35] a Farmer son employed on farm, Mary [32] and William [29] who was Employed on Farm. There were also two servants Mary Ann Keast [20] a House Servant and Samuel Mallett [16] a Farm Servant.in St Neot.

George appeared in the census on 7 April 1861 aged 37, he living in the household of his brother  William [40] a Farmer 150 Acres Employing 2 Men and 1 Boy at Fawton, St Neot, Liskeard, Cornwall, England. In the household at the time was a nephew John Wilton [8] a Scholar and servants Charlotte Copper [30], Mary Hooper [15] both House Servants and William Pollard [63] a Farm servant.

George appeared in the census on 2 April 1871 in St Neot aged 47 at this time he was a Farmer. He was living at Fawton, St Neot. In the household with him were servants Catherine Northy [43] a House Keeper, Matthew J Keast [24] and John Crapp [13] both Farm Servants. (RG10/2240/27/16)

George married Jane HEATHMAN on 8 May 1872 in Truro, Cornwall, England.

Jane HEATHMAN was born about 1827 in Duloe, Cornwall, England.

During the census on 3 April 1881 George aged 50 who was a Farmer 90 Acres and Jane [54] were living at Higher Stonetown, Duloe Liskeard, Cornwall, England.

Jane died in 1888 sometime just before George.

George died on 15 February 1888 in Newhouse, St Neot and was buried in St Neot Churchyard.
