Frederick WELCH

Frederick WELCH, was born on the 18 May 1854 in Warleggan, Cornwall, England.

Frederick married Amelia (BARNECUT) WEBSELL during 1892.

Amelia (BARNECUT) WEBSELL, daughter of Daniel BARNECUT and Mary Consentine HICKS was born during 1862.

During the census on 31 March 1901 Fred aged 46 whose occupation was Coal Miner Hewer Underground and Amelia [37] were living at 21 Middle Wood Row, Shank House, Cramlington, Tynemouth. Living with them were their children Hilda M [7] and Florence [3]. Also, in the household was his son from his first marriage William J [25] a Coal Miner Hewer Underground and his step daughters Rhoda and Amelia Websell 15 and 12 respectively. (RG13/4811/116/40)

During the census on 2 April 1911 Frederick age 56 who was a Coal Miner Hewer and Amelia [48] were still living at 21 Middle Row, Shankhouse. Living with them were their daughters Hilda Maude [17] and Florence [13] who was at School. (RG14PN30844 RG78PN1762 RD559 SD6 ED7 SN253)

Frederick died on 6 July 1922.

When the 1939 Register was compiled on 29 September Amelia was living with her son in law George Simpson a Coal Hewer Below Heavy worker, her daughter Hilda M and granddaughter Winnifred a Shop Assistant Toilet Department at 64 Shank House, Albion Road, Seaton Valley U.D., Northumberland, England. Amelia died on 3 March 1947 aged 84 years.
