Albert WILCE

212. Albert WILCE, son of John WILCE and Emma WEARY, was born on 29 April 1873 (date from 1939 Register) in St Neot. He was baptised on 5 October 1873 in St Neot, Liskeard, Cornwall, England.

During the census on 3 April 1881 Albert aged 7, was living with his parents John [45] a Farm labourer and Emma [40] at Jericho. Living with them were his siblings George aged 19 a Farm Labourers Son, Bessie 12, Lydia [11], Frederick [9], Clara [6], Lora [2] and Amelia [3 weeks].

Albert appeared in the census on 5 April 1891 aged 17. His occupation was Tin Miner. He was living with his mother Emma [50] at Jericho, St Neot. Living with them were his siblings Lydia [20] a General Domestic Servant, Frederick [19] a Tin Miner, Laura [12] and Amelia [10] a Scholar.

Albert appeared in the census on 31 March 1901 aged 31. His occupation was Police Constable. He was a boarder in the household of Mary Devine [46] a Boarding House Keeper at 2 Catherine St, Plymouth, Devon, England. (RG13/2100/147/20)

On the 29 September 1939 Albert a PC Retired was in the household of Dorothy Maker whose occupation was House Duties Unpaid Domestic Duties, at 1 Adelaide Terrace, Plymouth C.B. (RG101/6783H/014/9 Letter Code: WEJA)

Albert died in January 1952 in Plymouth.
