Amelia WILCE

216. Amelia WILCE, daughter of John WILCE and Emma WEARY, was born on 13 March 1881 (date from 1939 Register) in St Neot. She was baptised on 25 February 1887 in St Neot, Liskeard, Cornwall, England.

During the census on 3 April 1881 Amelia aged 3 weeks, was living with his parents John [45] a Farm labourer and Emma [40] at Jericho. Living with them were his siblings George aged 19 a Farm Labourers Son, Bessie 12, Lydia [11], Frederick [9], Albert [7], Clara [6] and Lora [2].

Amelia appeared in the census on 5 April 1891 aged 10. Her occupation was a Scholar. He was living with his mother Emma [50] at Jericho, St Neot. Living with them were his siblings Lydia [20] a General Domestic Servant, Frederick [19], Albert [17] both Tin Miners and Laura [12] a General Servant Domestic.

Amelia appeared in the census on 31 March 1901 aged 20. Her occupation was Dressmaker. She was living at Ambrose Lake, St Neot with her mother Emma [60].

Amelia married John Thomas HUNT during 1910 in Liskeard.

John Thomas HUNT, was born in April 1880 in Shaugh Prior, Devon, England.

Jack Hunt aged 30 a Tin Miner, wife Minnie (Amelia) [30] and daughter Dorothy [6 months] were living in St Neot with his mother in law Emma Wilce [72] during the census on 2 April 1911. (RG14PN13640 RG78PN804 RD292 SD2 ED15 SN23)

Sometime between the 1911 census and 1939 Register John Thomas died. As yet I have not been able to find the date.

On the 29 September 1939 Amelia (unpaid domestic duties) and son Harry (County Council Labourer) were living in Jericho, Liskeard R.D., Cornwall, England. (RG101/6725A/009/38 Letter Code: WBHV)

Amelia died during 1960 in Liskeard.
