Clara WILCE

213. Clara WILCE, daughter of John Groce WILCE and Emma WEARY, was born on 18 January 1876 in St Neot. She was baptised on 27 October 1876 in St Neot, Liskeard, Cornwall, England.

During the census on 3 April 1881 Clara aged 6, was living with his parents John [45] a Farm labourer and Emma [40] at Jericho. Living with them were his siblings George aged 19 a Farm Labourers Son, Bessie 12, Lydia [11], Frederick [9], Albert [7], Lora [2] and Amelia [3 weeks].

During the census on 5 April 1891 Clara aged 16 whose occupation was General Servant Domestic, was living in the Vicarage, St Veep, Cornwall, England. (RG12/1813/95/1)

Clara a Cook, appeared in the census on 31 March 1901 aged 25. She was a servant in the household of Dudley Aroland Mills [41] a Major Royal Engineers at Widey Grange, Egg Buckland, Plympton St Mary, Devon, England. (RG13/2087/132/14)

Clara married James LAUNDER on 25 November 1905 at St Saviours, Plymouth, Devon, England. The marriage was witnessed by William Richard Facey and Alice Levina Manley. The ceremony was performed by J Jones, Vicar.

James LAUNDER, was born about 1875 in St Andrew, Plymouth, Devon, England.

Clara died in January 1906 in Plymouth.
