537. Albert WILCE, son of Frederick WILCE and Eda Mary JOINT, was born on 27 June 1909 (date from 1939 Register) in Totnes, Devon, England. He was baptised on 11 September 1909 in the Parish of South Brent in the County of Devon. At the time of the baptism the family were living in South Brent and his father Frederick was a Millman. The ceremony was performed by GHN Stephens.

Albert aged 1 appeared in the census on 2 April 1911. He was living with his parents Frederick aged 39 an Engine Driver Boiler and Eda Mary [32] an Attendant in Flock Mill at Brent Mill, South Brent, Devon, England. Living with them were his siblings Gwendoline [6], Walter [5] and Minnie [5 months].

Albert married Dorothy Joan QUICK in December 1947 in Plympton, Devon, England.

Dorothy Joan QUICK, was born on 17 September 1921 (date from 1939 Register) within the Plympton registration district.

Dorothy Joan died on 4 February 1986 in Saltash, Cornwall, England.

The childs birth was registered under the family name of QUICK, however he was later to become Michael John WILCE. Therefore I do not know if Albert was actually the father or whether he was adopted.
